Layout on a platter
« on: February 01, 2009, 06:47:04 PM »
I found this platter on sale after Christmas.  It's about 16" diameter - perfect for a micro layout!

I'm working on it now, in between other projects.  Here's what it looks like so far.

Looks like a cheese mine!

Mmmmmmmm, Yummy!

The flats will be made of crackers.

Hmmmm... Edible Railways.  Interesting!  And an alternative to the more traditional gingerbread house.  :D

Meanwhile, I made some more progress.  I decided to cut down some of the mountains to make more room for track and buildings.

You could have a small loco pulling a tank car that looked like the Weiner Mobile,a flat car with a vat of tomato sauce , a gondola full of cheese ,a cabeese made out of a green bell pepper!

I'm going for lunch!! 8)

Thanks!  It's acrylic gloss medium.  The first coat I mixed with some dark green; the second coat was just clear.
