Rob Bennett MORE UK inspiration
« on: September 02, 2009, 01:10:02 PM »
I may have mentioned in the past Rob Bennett and his Busy Bodies site (Rob make figures )
www.robbennett.org
but there is also his photo site with links on to other sites (either from the link at the bottom of his Home page or from the link below)

Amongst the photos are ones from a friend Eric Llyod made of asll sort of junk

www.pics-by-robert.photobook.org.uk

Also you can find him on You Tube (under Rob Bennett or Indian hill railway)

Hi,

My hamster really likes the Rob Bennet figures.

If you populate your trains with them, they are real show stoppers

I love Mr. Bennett's figures. He's done such a wonderful job of creating an entire world of characters, that while cartoony in nature are done with such an insightful style that they're absolutely charming. And as Juergen suggests, if you populate an entire area with them, they complete their own reality.

Agreed - I think the figures on a model need to be all Busybodies or all "regular" otherwise one style of figure is going to look out of place next to the others - an anachronism.

Well, it depends on what you want to create or to express. Busy Bodies next to straight Preiser figures might look a bit strange. They come in different scales anyway.

But a cartoonish Dick Tracy does not look too out of place

I can imaginge, my Martin Marquard Figures might fit the Busy Bodies Scene as well

Must give it a thought and try to take some pictures one of these days. After all, this is AW NUTS. Straight modellers meet at other places.

Have Fun
