Puffing Billy Na class locos have a huge chunk of boiler inside the cab, so if you move your assembly forward to deal with the overhang, it won't be without precedence.

Love it.  What motor are you using?I bought a brand new Marklin clockwork motor from a museum in NY NY when it closed down.  Still waiting to be inspired with a project for it.cheers Ferd

All I know about the motor is that its 1927/30 ish Hornby with reverse...goes like a rocket

Ferd how about a Guinness brewery loco or something like Marc H's tin lizzie or one of Chuck Donovans creations....and in 7/8ths...that will give them a shock

Bobby, this time last year I had 32 "in progress" projects. I am down to 19 now, but I have a list of another 19 on the list and probably another 10 that I haven't even written down. This hobby never ends, as soon as one thing is done another 3 to 5 pop up.  :o :D

Good progress CJ, that's going to be a really great looking loco.  The touch of whimsy is absolutely perfect, - I like it!   :D ;D

Still on the big project of The Hunslet that never was....but in the meantime I also obtained a smaller O gauge hornby (M1 I think...cost £4 plus post...some seem to cost ££$$$)

Ferd has sent me a larger copy of the AWNUTS Garden Railway Society logo with the engine and shed (as seen on the top right of the page). So here are the early stages of the build.

In order to preserve the original loco, I will stick the new body to the loco with clear silicone.

I have used a carpet shape gauge to get the contours of the body. The body is made of card with some wood support and the cab to be clad with coffee sticks.
