I hadn't thought about it, there is so much going on on this site but you are right, we havn't heard from Annie lately. I hope she is well. She mentioned in past posts that she has a chronic illness. Maybe it has flared up.

I too share your concern - in fact  I was wondering about her yesterday.

I have sent a PM via the 7-8ths site also, but not seen any updates from her for a few weeks

I got a PM to work from here, so if Annie is around, she knows...
Best we can do for now, probably.

My apologies for the silence everyone  :-X
My Mum is 87 and hasn't been having such a great time of it with her health so I've been spending a lot more looking after her and generally helping out & etc.  I also live by a religious Rule and have commitments with regular daily prayer, so what with everything and one thing and another Annie has been a busy girl

Bill and Sidney have been pressing ahead with the Ewings loco though and last time I looked they were busy with making parts for the walking beam steam engine and getting it all to fit together and work as it should.  If I catch a spare moment I'll take a photo provided the lads will let me.  Sometimes they can get very particular about being disturbed when they're busy, so I might need to bribe them with freshly baked scones and Earl Grey tea.   ;D

Sorry to hear about your mum, but so glad you are well. Maybe you could teach Bill and Sydney to use your computer to keep us up to date? Now there's a scary thought.

The scones and Earl Grey sound nice to me. When's tea time?

Good to see you here, if briefly, and to know you are OK.
And at least you know we've missed you!

Looking forward to more of the KTT as and when you can...

Chris.

Hi Annie, Nice to know you're still around. Sad to hear of your troubles.
Keep training. I think our hobby sometimes keeps our mind away from our ills and acts as a treatment for whatever it is that ails us.

Cheers

Rowan, I agree....Unfortunatly (for my hobby) nothing ails me at the moment so I haven't "run away" from the "real world" into my own little world lately.

Annie, hang in there, and we here at the Shannon Car Shops are praying for your mom, and you.

Hi Annie,

Please accept my encouragement that you are caring for your Mom, as it should be. I have an Uncle, just slightly older than your Mom, who is currently in the hospital. Fortunately, like your Mom, he has his children close to be with him and comfort him. I'm sure that your presence is a great comfort to your Mom and that is a much more rewarding hobby than being a little nuts. I, for one, will be nominating you for AWNUUTS sainthood, this month. Please do continue to render as much comfort to your Mom as possible and know that we nuts are with you in spirit. Also please bear in mind that it's the tough times in  life that enable you to be a netter nut.

Warmest Regards,
Bruce

I saw this picture and thought of Annie and her story about the coat hangers. Our wishes and prayers go to her and her mother. God Bless.
