Looks like a nice model... in card to, just my medium... I downloaded the first 11 pages, decided the parts were too fiddly, and numerous - there are about 80 pages of stuff...

The phrase "Life's too short...." comes to mind.

One for the patient modellers me thinks.

 :D
I cut it twice and it's still too short.

Rowan, I have been accused of being patient because of some of what I have built. In my case it's knowing when to walk away from something and get back to it much later. So using my approach you could do a little each week and in 2 years have your very own Darjeeling loco.  ;D

Yes it comes out so close to being 'G' scale nobody is going to argue about it much.  I looked at all the tiddly card bits and almost had a fit too, then I thought about it and had to admit that there is most probably no more bits in it than my Ewing monorail loco, - it's just that I mark out and cut the bits for that as I go which isn't so scary as seeing them altogether in one place all at once.

LOL Rowan, we....I mean, I completely understand. :D

Annie, sort of like those plastic model kits I used to do, seeing all them fiddly little parts can be quite intimidating. I would hate to ponder how many boards I glued by hand to build 3 passenger cars from scratch, plus the parts I had to sand to shape, carve to shape, bend and glue and.......I am going to go lay down now, for some reason I suddenly don't feel so well. ???

I think some will have seen the enclosed 'rough' card model by Ray Wyborn on the 7-8ths.info site, which he is using for sizing his 7-8ths scale model of a South African Mannig Warddle loco (scaled up from 16mm as per plans in a recent 16mm Today magazine) to be based on Roundhouse chassis/cylinders. 16mm versions shown in the magazine look good.

ITS CARD! ITS FANTASTIC...so much so I am sick with envy.....just shows what you can do....so there is hope with the Darjeeling loco......possibly fitting cab, tank etc to a cheap wymsical loco/chassis
