Makes me wonder how much car building grew from boat building where curves are the norm.

My favorite; gotta be the craziest tram ride in the world.
Conservatives think every day is July 4th; liberals think every day is April 15th.

These are referred to as "bicabine" in France. Apparently, French railroad practices frowned upon running a steam locomotive in reverse. Most ran with the cab at the rear, and would be turned around for the return trip. There were also french locos designed to be run cab forward only, such as this one.(Buffaud-Robatel 031T)

Pinguely seem to have addressed this problem with their bicabine design. I'm not entirely certain, but I believe other French builders made bicabine designs as well.

Hey thanks for the explanation, - I knew there had to be a proper name for such locos  ;D
Now all I need to do is adapt the design to suit the Ewing Monorail System.   :o

I was right- there were other builders of bicabine locomotives- several at least were 60 cm gauge for the Chemin de Fer de Calvados. A Ewing version can't be all that outlandish.

It's on the list  ;D

I have to finish the Ewing loco I'm working on at the moment though as my New Years resolution will be to complete every loco I build before moving onto another.

We here at the Shannon Car Shops made a similar resolution last year, no new projects, except repairs and maintenance, to be started until the list of incomplete projects is down to 2 or 3. The list went from 31 to 19 during this past year, hope to get it down into the single digits by the end of 2010. :D

I like very much the laser kits from Occre (1:24)

I have  one of this

And will take it as base for a railcar.
