Sheds on Wheels
« on: July 01, 2010, 02:04:57 AM »

In the Peter Jones thread Eric Lloyds "The Shed" is mentioned. I think, he called this Colonial style.

Thomas L. from Germany did an intepretation of one of these in Gn15

These boxes are quite simple to model. Here are two Austro Daimler Feldbahnlocos on 600mm track.

Old Faller drives and coffee stir sticks are a very goodand cheap source for modelling material. Tried it a few years ago. It runs on batteries with a 2,4 Mhz RC now.

No plans were needed. I simply took two suitable 1 : 22,5 figures and built a loco around them.

Great photos - thanks for the post - are there drawings around for the shed? It does have a cool feel and would work great on my laser cutter.

Well, I made a paper mockup of the Austro-Daimler in 1 : 22,5 scale  for 32mm track some years ago.
Never got around to build a working model.

Used some original drawings for reference. Its only 1320 mm wide. They made them for 500, 600 and 760mm gauge.

The Colonial Shed prpbably has similiar dimensions. Maybe slightly larger.
